Editorial context
Working with a provider in Houston – what matters
When appointing a manager for a homeowners association (HOA) or condominium association in Houston, the first step should be to define the community’s specific management needs. Both areas are named on the supplied RISE Association Management Group page. This alone does not establish which individual services an offer includes. Questions might cover accounting, budget preparation, maintenance coordination, meeting support and the handling of rule violations. These are matters to verify, not confirmed service commitments by this provider.
Communication deserves particular attention. Clear arrangements should cover designated contacts, typical response times, complaint records and escalation procedures for unresolved concerns. The selected reviews illustrate why this matters: several praise responsiveness and support, while another describes repeated complaints that allegedly went unaddressed. These accounts do not establish how every managed community is served.
Before making a decision, prospective clients should also clarify base fees, potential additional charges, contract duration and handover arrangements in writing. For community associations, it is useful to distinguish the manager’s responsibilities from board decisions and the work of external contractors. References from comparable communities can provide additional context. The overall Google rating is one point of reference, but it cannot replace a review of the specific proposal or a discussion of the association’s requirements. These points provide general guidance, not legal advice.

Selected reviews on Google
The supplied selection contains five Google reviews and does not represent all 829 ratings. Recurring positive themes include friendly and helpful staff, personal attention, and prompt, professional responses to concerns. Individual reviewers also praise the condition of a property and its on-site service staff. The selection’s only critical review reports a lack of responses or, in the reviewer’s view, insufficient action following repeated complaints about feeding stray cats and associated sanitation concerns. These accounts describe individual experiences at different residential communities and do not support a blanket assessment of all managed associations. The supplied Google data gives an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5.
I have been extremely disappointed with the lack of response from Rise HOA regarding an ongoing issue in our townhouse community. For months, I have reported residents feeding stray cats and leaving food outside on their porches, which has created an unsanitary environment. The stray cats regularly gather around the neighborhood, sleep in front of my door, vomit in front of my garage and entryway, and create a nuisance for homeowners. I have submitted multiple complaints, provided photos, and even supplied the addresses of the residents involved, yet no meaningful action has been taken. As a homeowner, I expect the HOA to address health, sanitation, and community concerns. Unfortunately, my repeated requests have been ignored, leaving residents to deal with the consequences. I hope Rise HOA will begin taking these issues seriously and enforce community standards consistently. If you’r
Sheree McGowan at Valencia Condominiums is simply the best HOA manager I have ever encountered in my 25 years of Medical Center area condo living. She is attentive to detail, keeps the property immaculate and is an excellent people person who makes every individual feel appreciated and cared about. She checks all boxes with a five. A true asset that the property is fortunate to have.
Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Shout out to the frontdesk (Carlos, Cath, Zena, Million and Simon) and to the valet parking staff and housekeeping! Thank you for being so nice to me. You’re all wonderful.
Absolutely amazing stuff and company! Angela Morin addressed all my needs and concerns promptly and confident manner! I would refer Rise and Angela Morin to any and everybody!
Our LOE Community Manager, Angela, is very professional, prompt, and takes care of business very effectively. Definitely an asset to the neighborhood.
