Profile summary

Keyrenter Property Management Houston at a glance

Keyrenter Property Management Houston is a property management provider in Houston, United States. The supplied Google data shows a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 565 reviews. Its listed website is keyrenterhouston.com, but no substantive website content was provided.

The selected reviews describe interactions involving rental properties, from property viewings and leasing through move-in, maintenance requests, and move-out procedures. They therefore offer insight into processes from tenants’ perspectives, rather than a company-issued description of services.

One positive review highlights friendly, professional assistance across several stages of the tenancy. Critical reviews focus particularly on communication, response times, security deposit accounting, and disputed move-out charges. The available material does not establish the company’s founding date, team size, memberships, or any management territory beyond Houston. Its precise scope of services for property owners and its fee structure also remain unclear from the information supplied.

Editorial context

Working with a provider in Houston – what matters

When appointing a property manager in Houston, owners should first establish exactly which tasks the management agreement covers. For a provider whose supplied reviews mainly concern leasing, ongoing tenant support, and move-out procedures, clearly defined responsibilities are particularly useful. Owners should ask who arranges viewings, handles rental paperwork, documents property condition, and communicates with tenants. No complete service description for Keyrenter Property Management Houston was supplied.

Maintenance procedures are another important consideration. Useful questions cover reporting channels, urgent requests, repair approval thresholds, and the selection of external contractors. It should also be clear how progress updates are provided and when a work order is considered complete. These questions relate to the maintenance and communication themes in the supplied reviews without treating individual allegations as established facts.

For move-in and move-out, documented handovers, clear condition reports, and transparent explanations of potential charges are relevant. Prospective clients should ask how questions about security deposits and disputed charges are handled. Management fees, additional costs, and termination terms should also be clarified before signing.

The overall Google rating can provide an initial impression. However, a small selection of reviews, some of which are truncated, is not a reliable cross-section of all experiences. Decisions should therefore also draw on contract documents, written service descriptions, and specific answers from the provider. These points are general guidance, not legal advice.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with Keyrenter Houston. Before moving out, I thoroughly cleaned the property, documented every room with photos and videos, returned the keys, and provided my forwarding address. As the 30 day deadline approached, I still had not received any update regarding my deposit disposition, so I contacted them myself two days before the deadline. On the 30th day, I was told that Texas law allowed them 30 days from the lease end date rather than from the move out date. This directly contradicted both Keyrenter’s earlier written communication and my understanding of the Texas Property Code. After I formally challenged that explanation and pointed out the discrepancy, I was asked to provide my forwarding address again even though it had already been provided in my original move out email. Shortly afterward, the disposition was c

The entire staff at Keyrenter has been extremely helpful since the day we first contacted them. From the initial property tour to the leasing process to the move-in to addressing all of the maintenance issues they have been very friendly and professional. Our rental experience has been GREAT!!!!!

We would not recommend this property management company based on our move-out experience. Communication has been slow and inconsistent, particularly regarding our security deposit and disputed move-out charges totaling nearly $2,000. We had to make multiple requests to receive our move-out assessment and responses often took far longer than expected. Throughout our tenancy, rent was paid on time and we addressed issues professionally and cooperatively. However, when it came time to discuss and dispute charges, obtaining timely responses became extremely difficult. I have sent multiple detailed emails regarding the disputed charges and have experienced significant delays in receiving any acknowledgment or follow-up. Tenants deserve clear communication, transparency and timely resolution of deposit-related matters. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. If you are considering ren

Extremely unprofessional and useless property management company. I would never rent through keyrenter, because if you ever need maintenance they will charge you just to send somebody to assess the issue. They use 3rd party vendors in the sense that they are helping you, but they are actually entirely useless. It would be easier for you to seek out your own help for maintenance. Before moving into my unit my apartment was not cleaned, and upon move out they charged me HEFTY fees for cleaning..which they did not even do for me in the first place as a renter. I had an awful experience dealing with this company whether it be extreme unprofessionalism, absurd fees, or just trying to get any kind of assistance.

The maintenance tickets I’ve submitted rarely get addressed promptly, and I never receive timely updates. I’m still dealing with the same ongoing issue after over six months, and the ticket was closed without any explanation. 8/6/2026 update- issue still unresolved.
