Editorial context
Working with a provider in Houston – what matters
When choosing a property management company in Houston, first establish what type of management is required. Managing a homeowners association concerns shared community responsibilities and is not the same as letting or managing an individual rental property. Crest explicitly focuses on community association management. Prospective clients should therefore check whether the proposed engagement fits their association’s structure.
A written definition of services is useful when comparing proposals. For the areas Crest identifies, relevant questions include the scope and frequency of financial reporting, the organization of compliance inspections, and the planning and follow-up of maintenance work. It should also be clear which decisions remain with the board, which tasks the manager handles, and how additional services are charged.
An online portal can facilitate collaboration, but a demonstration is worthwhile before appointment. What information can homeowners and board members access? How are service requests recorded, and how can their progress be followed? For exterior modification applications and access to community facilities, clarify responsibilities, required documents, and communication channels.
It is also important to distinguish maintenance responsibilities belonging to the association, individual owners, and any other parties. Crest refers residents to the community’s governing documents, known as CC&Rs, and the responsible management team for these questions. Reviews and accreditation can provide additional reference points, but they do not replace an assessment of the specific proposal. These observations are general guidance, not legal advice.

I would like to sincerely thank Delaney for all the support, guidance, and assistance she provided while I was inquiring about the clubhouse rental for my event. Delaney made the entire communication process very easy and smooth with her quick responses, helpful information, and willingness to answer all my questions. Her support with the event rental guidelines and details made the planning process much easier and stress-free. Thank you, Delaney, for your outstanding customer service, patience, and dedication. I truly appreciate all your help and support in making this experience a positive one.
I live in the Eagle Springs community and rented the clubhouse for a baby shower recently. The space was perfect for the friends and family of the parents-to-be to celebrate together! There were plenty of tables and chairs available to set up with our linens, the kitchen was a great prep space to warm up the food, and even the paint colors on the walls matched our balloon arch. Lindsey from the Eagle Springs onsite office was easy to work with and reminded us of all the deadlines - super helpful! This was a full-circle moment to host at the clubhouse as we begin welcoming grandbabies as my friends and I had our baby showers at the original clubhouse many, many years ago. So glad our community has this amenity for celebrations!
