Editorial context
Working with a provider in Philadelphia – what matters
When selecting a property manager in Philadelphia, owners should first establish which responsibilities they want to delegate and which they intend to retain. For TCS Property Management, the supplied reviews specifically mention tenant communication, financial reporting, billing procedures, and maintenance. These topics provide useful starting points for an initial discussion, but they should not be treated as a confirmed service specification.
For maintenance, owners should clarify how issues are reported, how work is commissioned, and how spending is authorized. Since one reviewer mentions continuing to use their own contractors, prospective clients should ask whether this arrangement would be available to them and who would coordinate the work. It is also useful to ask how outstanding maintenance tasks are recorded and tracked during a management transition.
For financial administration, sample reports can help owners assess the scope and clarity of the information provided. Reporting intervals, included management services, and potential additional charges should also be clarified. Communication arrangements should cover designated contacts, usual response times, and procedures for urgent concerns. This is particularly relevant here because the selected reviews describe both helpful support and unanswered inquiries.
Finally, owners should verify whether their property type and location fall within the provider's actual service coverage. A written scope of services offers a stronger basis for comparison than individual reviews. These points provide general guidance and do not constitute legal advice.

Selected reviews on Google
The supplied Google data lists a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars from 507 reviews. Within the provided selection, several reviewers describe helpful, respectful support and assistance with concerns or paperwork. Owners also mention transparent billing and time savings from financial reporting and tenant communication. One critical review, by contrast, describes unanswered inquiries before an apartment viewing and the subsequent cancellation of that viewing. These comments summarize a selection of reviews, not all 507 ratings.
Very disappointed with the lack of communication. I was extremely interested in an apartment for rent and I had a few questions prior to touring. Don't bother calling the phone number listed because it goes straight to voicemail, and this company will not return your call. I emailed Alex Prince several times and never heard back. I ended up canceling my tour as this was very off putting. I would recommend treating potential renters better! I never received an email response from Alex stating that we can discuss in-person, or any response at all until I posted my review. If that's your standard process, I would recommend reevaluating as both the agent's time and potential renter's time could be saved if both parties knew ahead of time it would not be a match based on a simple phone call. P.S. With the volume of activity you manage, thousands of homes each year, I am surprised how quick
As a tenant, I appreciate how patient the team has been when I needed help. They handled my concerns respectfully and kept things moving. Not gonna lie, that kind of support matters a lot when dealing with housing stuff and it made the experience much better overall.
Finding a reliable property manager is tough but these guys are excellent. They took over our building, sorted out all the maintenance delays, and the billing process is completely transparent now.
I had a situation with some confusion around paperwork and yeah I thought it would take days to sort out. But they stepped in, clarified everything, and got it handled pretty quickly. Not perfect wording always but clear enough and helpful.
As a long-term landlord I was hesitant to hand off management, but TCS made the transition easy I still handle my own maintenance, and their system allows me to use my own vendors The financial reporting and tenant communication save me so much time.
