Editorial context

Working with a provider in San Diego – what matters

When choosing a property manager in San Diego, owners should first check whether the property type, location, and required level of support match the provider’s offering. Uplift lists single-family homes and a management plan for multifamily properties with 5 to 15 units. Suitability for other property sizes should be confirmed directly. Even within its broadly stated service area, owners should verify coverage for the specific address.

It is important to distinguish ongoing management from a one-time leasing service. Owners seeking only marketing, tenant screening, and lease preparation have different needs from those also outsourcing rent collection, accounting, and maintenance coordination. The published service description should therefore be compared with the proposed agreement.

The fee structure deserves particular attention. Uplift’s statements about not charging extra for leasing appear alongside separately listed tenant placement and annual tenant retention fees. Before appointing the company, owners should obtain written clarification of which charges apply to their plan, how minimum fees are calculated, and what costs arise during vacancies.

Day-to-day responsibilities and procedures also matter: Who is the designated contact, how are repairs approved, and how are owners informed about emergencies? The listed online reports and inspection documentation provide useful starting points for requesting sample records. Google reviews can offer additional perspectives, but they do not replace checking the service scope or discussing individual requirements. These considerations concern practical provider selection and do not constitute legal advice.

I haven't even moved in yet and I already feel good about my decision to rent with Uplift. This is as professional as it gets. For starters, the place that I found is clean, modern, in a spectacular location, and is VERY fairly priced. Other units in that particular neighborhood go for much more. But for me, always, is how the communication goes. I'm big on good communication, and I can instantly tell when I'm dealing with someone (or a company in general) who does this properly or lazily. Well, with Uplift, I've been going back and forth with Megan G. for about three weeks, and she's been absolutely amazing. She's quick, professional, and it truly feels like she's there for you. She's a human being conversing with other human beings. In 2026, that's about as good as it gets. But even past Megan, I once needed help with something on-the-fly, she was busy with another tenant, and anothe

Del Cerro Apartments is an amazing place to live! Not only for the cost, space and being close to everything! This place is great. It has a swimming pool, a hot tub, multiple laundry facilities that they keep extremely clean! There’s even a small gym. But the property manger Taylor is the BEST!!! She goes above and beyond for all residents! When she sees you she will always say hi and check in with you to make sure everything is going well! When you walk into her office to ask a question or anything, her first response to you is always, how can I help! Which is very different from any other property manager I’ve dealt with, which usually is what is the problem! 🙄 So if you are looking for a really great place to live , with a great community of people and the best property manager ever, that is affordable for the space you get I highly recommend coming to Del Cerro apartments!
