Editorial context
Working with a provider in Paris – what matters
When appointing a property manager in Paris, owners should first distinguish between tenant placement, ongoing rental management and the management of shared building matters. The supplied information about Lodgis primarily concerns furnished apartments and their letting. It does not automatically establish that every technical, financial or building-wide management task is included.
A written definition of responsibilities is therefore useful. Who checks tenancy applications, prepares the agreement, organises the handover and records the apartment’s condition? Responsibilities for repairs, safety reports, payment arrears and security deposits should also be discussed explicitly. For furnished apartments, particular attention should be paid to the inventory, equipment and documentation of existing damage. Lodgis’s stated furnishing advice provides a starting point for specific questions.
Fees, additional charges, contract duration and termination arrangements should be clear before an appointment. Where protection against unpaid rent is offered, eligibility requirements, coverage and exclusions matter; mentioning insurance does not replace reviewing its terms.
A digital client portal and electronic signatures can make remote cooperation easier. Owners should nevertheless establish which documents are available through the portal, how urgent issues are handled and who is responsible when problems arise. An agreed communication language and clear procedures are particularly useful for international lettings. These points provide general guidance rather than individual legal advice.

Selected reviews on Google
The supplied Google data shows a rating of 4.1 out of 5 from 2,392 reviews. In the provided selection, positive reviews praise personal support, clear communication and prompt answers to questions, including when arranging an apartment from abroad. Recurring criticism concerns slow replies, apartments that were already unavailable and what reviewers describe as insufficient assistance with deposits not returned by landlords. Another review, supplied only in part, raises allegations about the handling of safety reports and withheld funds. These are reviewers’ accounts and allegations, not independently verified findings. DO NOT USE LODGIS! We have had the worst possible experience — and we are still paying for it. Our first apartment through them ended with our landlord stealing our security deposit. He confirmed in writing that the apartment was in perfect condition, promised the deposit back, then disappeared entirely. That was over a year ago. We contacted Lodgis for help. Their response? "Not our problem." They refused to investigate or intervene in any way. What makes this worse: they still have this landlord's listing active on their platform. They are continuing to advertise someone who has robbed their tenants. If you're considering this apartment on Rue d'Oslo in the 18th — walk away. Our second attempt to find housing through them was its own disaster. Agents were painfully slow to respond. We would reply immediately to a listing saying we wanted it, only to be told a week later it was gone.
Not a reliable agency for tenants. A lot of back and forth over apartments that weren't even available, and responses are consistently slow. I eventually found a place through them, but it's been over a year and I still haven't received my security deposit back despite it being contractually required. The landlord they connected me with has been unresponsive and the agency has done nothing to help resolve it. Overall more trouble than it's worth - SeLoger or PAP are better options.
Overall experience was amazing. The agent I was dealing with for my apartment was Monia, who was so lovely, attentive and understanding. She made the experience feel so easy and was very good at responding to any questions I had with such a lovely manner! She listened to my concerns and gave great advice! I would recommend this site to anyone who was considering moving to Paris!
Elisa was very helpful throughout the booking process. She was responsive, clear and reassuring while helping me secure my apartment in Paris from abroad. I really appreciated her support with each step and am looking forward to moving in.
We had an appalling experience with Lodgis as tenants. This was not ordinary bad service: it involved serious safety issues, what appeared to be an invalid/defective attempt to force us out of our home, and the withholding of over €1,000 more than was justified by Lodgis’s own figures. Early in the tenancy, we raised concerns about gas/safety equipment and the absence of a carbon monoxide detector. Lodgis told us that a CO detector was not required in the flat and that installation would be at our expense. We bought one ourselves. In July 2022, during the Paris heatwave, that alarm went off repeatedly and showed dangerous carbon monoxide readings, including a peak of 250 ppm. Without the alarm we had paid for ourselves, we would not have known there was carbon monoxide in the flat. The safety measure Lodgis had dismissed was the thing that alerted us to a potentially life-threatening pr
