Editorial context
Working with a provider in San Diego – what matters
When choosing a property manager in San Diego, owners should first establish which tasks are actually included in the management agreement. The supplied reviews of 21st Century Property Management touch on leasing, viewings, application processing and communication. They do not, however, establish a complete service package. A written breakdown of responsibilities, fees and any separately charged services is therefore useful.
For leasing, owners should understand how a rental rate is proposed, who approves it and how marketing progress is communicated. For viewings, access arrangements and the handling of personal information are relevant considerations. One positive account of a lockbox viewing does not establish that this option is available for every property.
Communication also deserves attention. Named contacts, agreed response times and a clear escalation route can help align expectations. Prospective tenants should ask about required documents, screening criteria and procedures for applicants without a U.S. credit history before applying. The provider should explain which supporting documents it accepts in a particular case.
Google reviews can provide supplementary insights, but they do not replace reviewing the agreement or discussing the specific property. The selection supplied here includes different experiences and does not necessarily represent all customer interactions. These points are intended as general guidance, not legal advice.

Selected reviews on Google
The supplied Google data gives an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from 253 reviews. In the provided selection, personal assistance, communication and support during leasing or application processes receive repeated positive mentions. Individual reviewers also praise a negotiated rental rate, a straightforward viewing and detailed property information. One critical review, however, describes unanswered messages, the need to escalate communication to management and an application assessment perceived as inflexible. According to that reviewer, the application was rejected because the reviewer's wife lacked a U.S. credit history. This is a selection of individual accounts, not an analysis of all 253 reviews.
As a new owner renting my home, I was nervous when my property management company changed hands. However, it was the best thing to happen to me!! I lucked out and got Cameron Romero as my property manager. To say he’s great, is an understatement! Very sharp, reliable, and professional!! He was able to negotiate a better rental rate for my property than I could imagine. Highly recommended!
Went to go look at a house for rent that was listed on redfin through Century 21 process was easy just had to give some personal information to get a code for the lockbox went and looked at the house. The house was in excellent condition. Would recommend century 21 to others.
My experience with this property management company was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I attempted to apply for a rental property that had been sitting on the market for over six weeks, yet getting any meaningful response from the assigned property managers required relentless follow-up on my part. Texts went unanswered, emails were ignored, and I ultimately had to escalate the matter to higher management just to get basic communication. What made the experience even worse was the dismissive and inflexible way my application was handled. I am a highly qualified applicant with strong income, excellent rental history, clean background, and solid credit. However, my application was rejected simply because my wife has no credit history—despite the very reasonable explanation that she is legally new to the country and therefore has not had the opportunity to establish U.S. credit
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location and city was in an area I grew up in and being able to give my children that same experience in such a good neighborhood is more than anything I could ask for. Cameron and Lisa have been amazing ! They have worked with me every step of the way to make a dream become a reality.
Pat was great with communication and followed up with me throughout the week. Very good showing and provided great details about the property. I plan on applying for the property.
