Editorial context
Working with a provider in Athina – what matters
When appointing a real estate agency in Athina, the first step is to establish which services the specific assignment covers. DITA’s documented activities include sales and lettings, investment property management, renovation services, valuation and consultancy. These areas should be distinguished in any proposal: a brokerage assignment does not automatically include ongoing property management or the organisation of renovation work.
For a property search, a written brief covering budget, location, floor area and desired condition is useful. As the supplied listings cover both Athens neighbourhoods and Ano Glyfada, prospective clients should ask about experience in the relevant local market. Virtual tours can support shortlisting but do not replace checking the property’s actual condition and available documentation. For properties requiring renovation, the scope of work, cost estimate and allocation of responsibilities deserve particular attention.
Owners seeking management services should agree on how repairs are authorised, expenses documented and updates communicated. For Airbnb properties, they should also establish exactly which tasks the agency undertakes. The selected reviews illustrate why designated contacts, accessible communication channels and clear procedures for maintenance issues matter.
Fees, potential additional costs and coordination with other service providers should also be discussed transparently before appointment. Clients who do not speak Greek should agree on a reliable working language. Legal and tax questions should be addressed independently with appropriately qualified professionals.

Positive accounts cover purchases, sales and property management for owners living abroad. Individual reviews also mention communication in English, cooperation with a lawyer and marketing through multiple channels. One critical review, however, reports maintenance delays, unresolved issues, inadequate communication and problems relating to the rental agreement. It also describes perceived breaches of personal and professional boundaries. This summary is based on a selection and does not represent all reviews.
It was a pleasure meeting and working with Vicky. She is highly professional, while also being exceptionally friendly, approachable, and open. Both Vicky and the DITA agency demonstrate extensive knowledge of the real estate market, respond quickly, and remain strongly focused on their clients' needs. Vicky consistently kept us informed whenever a property matching our requirements became available on the market, which we greatly appreciated. By far, she is the most professional and dedicated real estate agent I have met in Athens. I look forward to purchasing another property through the DITA agency in the future and would highly recommend Vicky to anyone seeking outstanding real estate services.
As a real estate agent in Athens, Vicky has been professional and knowledgable. She has helped me to buy a fixer penthouse in inner Athens, which is exactly what I was looking for. Vicky, in cooperation with my lawyer, made the whole process easy and pleasant, without any stress for me, even though I speak no Greek. I have found Vicky to be honest and helpful well beyond the norm. I can sincerely recommend her to anyone interested in Greek real estate.
It has been a pleasure working with Vicky, as she has helped me in every step of selling my condo in Athens. In addition to listing the apartment on different sites, she also has a network of investors and past clients, which allows your apartment to be seen by other prospective buyers. Her English is perfect, and she was very responsive any time I reached out to her. She's experienced, and had a good understanding of what price would be the most realistic for us. I would definitely work with her again, and recommend to anyone looking to purchase or sell in greece.
It has been such a pleasure working with DITA Real Estate, and especially with the incredible Vicky, who truly is a miracle worker. After a very bad experience with our previous management company, we were so fortunate to find her. We are deeply grateful for the professional care she and her colleagues have provided for our properties. Despite many complications and challenges, Vicky always goes above and beyond to ensure that everything is handled smoothly and thoroughly. This has been especially important to us, as we do not live in Greece and needed someone we could truly trust to care for our properties as if they were her own—and that is exactly what she does. It is a genuine joy to work with her, and we highly recommend DITA to anyone looking for an outstanding and reliable property manager.
After renting through this agency for a year, I cannot recommend them. There have been multiple unresolved issues, including maintenance delays (in some cases taking weeks to address), poor communication, and problems related to the rental agreement. In addition, there were instances where personal and professional boundaries did not feel respected. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and far below what a tenant should reasonably expect

Services in this field explained
A valuation estimates the price a property can achieve on the market, based on location, condition, size, fittings and comparable sales.
What does a valuation cost? Many agents offer an initial estimate free of charge. A formal market value report by a certified surveyor is paid; the fee depends on the property and effort.
When you sell, an agent handles valuation, exposé, viewings, negotiation and the notary appointment.
Who pays the agent's commission? When flats and single-family houses are sold to consumers, the commission is generally split between seller and buyer (§ 656c German Civil Code).
When letting, an agent takes care of listing, viewings, tenant selection and the tenancy agreement.
Who pays the agent when letting? Since 2015 the “orderer pays” principle applies to residential lettings: usually the landlord pays when they hired the agent.
