Editorial context
Working with a provider in Milano – what matters
When appointing a real estate agent to find accommodation in Milan, prospective tenants should first define their preferred area, budget, move-in date and rental period. With an agency focusing on international students and professionals, it is also important to establish which steps can be arranged from abroad and which language will be used for communication. Renting Milan groups listings by universities and by the professional target audience, among other categories. These filters can help create a shortlist, but they do not replace checking actual journeys to a campus or workplace.
Before committing, applicants should ask for a breakdown of total costs. In addition to rent, potential service charges, the deposit and agency fees matter for budgeting. The furnishings, availability and condition of the specific apartment should also be confirmed. Clear documentation at handover helps record its initial condition.
As Renting Milan mentions contract support and broader assistance, the boundaries of these services should be clarified. Questions include which documents are required, who communicates with the landlord and whether support after moving in is included. The term contract support alone does not establish that an individual legal review is provided.
Landlords should likewise ask how tenant finding, property photography and ongoing support are organised and charged. Google ratings can offer insights into other customers’ experiences. However, a selection of reviews cannot replace checking the specific offer or obtaining a written overview of services and costs.

I had a very nice renting experience with Neja, she is so nice and professional. Renting Milan takes care of every detail, and most of the properties are all in good condition. My friend and I finally got a great apartment to settle down, which is a difficult task as international students. But Neja speaks English so we don’t have any problems in communication!! The agency fee is even more affordable than other agencies. Anyway I recommend them pretty much, I’ll definitely ask them if I need a new apartment in the future.
Renting Milan has been a great experience. I found the agency on Instagram, and from the very first time I contacted Neja, she showed understanding and no judgment toward my needs. The communication has been very smooth, and in just three days, I was able to find the perfect apartment in Milan. Everything is explained in great detail. I would highly recommend it to professionals who want to find something both quickly and of high quality.
Highly recommend Renting Milan to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. I worked with Neja who was very knowledgeable, communicative, and helpful throughout the process, from touring properties to move-in and beyond. The team at Renting Milan was transparent, kind, and patient with any questions or concerns I had, and they do a fantastic job with communicating on your behalf to landlords. Thank you Neja and the team at Renting Milan for making the international move as seamless as possible!
Very welcome and nice staff providing useful suggestions and helpful for all registration procedures. The check in is smooth with the assistance to confirm the quality of delivery. They usually reply very fast and actively respond.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience with Renting in Milan and Neja in particular. The entire process was handled with outstanding professionalism, efficiency, and transparency from start to finish. The apartment was secured for my daughter, who is studying at Bocconi University, and Neja’s support made the entire process smooth, reliable, and completely stress-free for our family. Neja was extremely responsive, attentive to every detail, and always available to assist with any questions or requests. She demonstrated a high level of integrity and commitment to client satisfaction throughout. The apartment was exactly as described, the arrangements were well organized, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciated the reliability, professionalism, and personalized approach provided by Neja and her team. I highly recommend Renting in Milan to anyone looking for

Services in this field explained
A valuation estimates the price a property can achieve on the market, based on location, condition, size, fittings and comparable sales.
What does a valuation cost? Many agents offer an initial estimate free of charge. A formal market value report by a certified surveyor is paid; the fee depends on the property and effort.
When you sell, an agent handles valuation, exposé, viewings, negotiation and the notary appointment.
Who pays the agent's commission? When flats and single-family houses are sold to consumers, the commission is generally split between seller and buyer (§ 656c German Civil Code).
When letting, an agent takes care of listing, viewings, tenant selection and the tenancy agreement.
Who pays the agent when letting? Since 2015 the “orderer pays” principle applies to residential lettings: usually the landlord pays when they hired the agent.
