Editorial context

Working with a provider in Milano – what matters

When choosing a property manager in Milan, the first step is to establish what type of management is needed. Managing an apartment used for short-term stays differs from managing shared condominium property or a long-term tenancy. Short-term rentals are The Rent Milano’s documented focus. Prospective clients should therefore confirm the precise scope of services for their property in writing.

For an offering that includes listing preparation, reservation management, guest support, cleaning and maintenance, a transparent breakdown of costs is important. For the 24 per cent management fee stated on the website, owners should clarify which income forms the calculation basis and how cleaning, platform fees, utilities and repairs are charged. It is also useful to agree which expenses the manager may authorise independently and which require the owner’s approval.

When considering pricing optimisation, owners should look beyond potential gross revenue to occupancy, operating costs and periods reserved for personal use. The website describes flexible owner access; how this works alongside confirmed bookings should be discussed before signing a contract.

Other points to check include named contacts, response times, the practical arrangements for the advertised round-the-clock support and regular financial statements. Since the supplied reviews describe differing experiences with responsiveness, agreeing on a clear communication process is particularly useful. Responsibilities for administrative requirements and the handling of guest data should also be clarified. These points provide general guidance rather than individual legal or tax advice.

Check in piacevole e in orario. Sono stati precisi e disponibili. La pulizia dei locali è stata perfetta. Non ho trovato nulla fuori posto, tutto in ordine e preciso. Sono rimasta molto soddisfatta.
