Editorial context
Working with a provider in Houston – what matters
When selecting a real estate agent in Houston, homeowners should first establish the assigned agent’s experience with comparable homes and the relevant local market. A pricing recommendation supported by comparable properties is more useful than an online valuation report alone. A report such as the one offered by EmpowerHome Team can provide a starting point for discussion; its underlying data and limitations should be explained.
For a sale, it is worth agreeing on the specific marketing scope. Since the supplied reviews mention staging advice, photography, and open houses, prospective clients should ask which measures are planned for their property, who will deliver them, and what they cost. Named contacts, agreed updates after viewings, and a process for potential price adjustments are also important.
Rapid offers, cash offers, and price guarantees should be considered separately from a standard listing agreement. Before deciding, request written explanations of eligibility, deadlines, valuation methods, and potential deductions. An advertised deadline for receiving an offer does not mean the sale will be completed within that period.
A complete cost breakdown deserves particular attention. Compensation for the seller’s representative, any agreed compensation for the buyer’s representative, and additional transaction fees should be clearly distinguished. The critical review provides a reason to ask these questions, but does not establish a generally applicable fee schedule. Buyers should also clarify what assistance beyond viewings and property information will be included. These points provide general guidance, not legal advice.

Selected reviews on Google
The supplied Google data show 4.8 out of 5 stars from 231 reviews. The provided selection contains four five-star reviews and one three-star review; it does not represent the full review set. Recurring positive themes include individual agents’ availability and guidance, active marketing, and offers received soon after listing. Several reviewers praise preparation for sale, particularly staging advice and property photography. The three-star review also acknowledges the assigned agent’s effort and reports a sale at the asking price, but criticizes the proposed listing price, explanations of commissions, and additional transaction fees. It gives a more reserved assessment of staging advice and photography. The reported outcomes and costs reflect individual customer experiences and should not be generalized.
What a refreshing experience! We changed to Agnes, from EmpowerHome Team, in the 11th hour. Our home had been listed for 3 months, and we had not received one offer, and we were moving to another city in two weeks. We felt like we needed to make a change, and we contacted EmpowerHome Team and we were so pleased with their presentation that we went with them. We received three offers within the first 36 hours of re-listing our home, and we accepted an offer that we were really pleased with. Agnes has made everything simple and clear for us every step of the way. Does the realtor make a difference? “Um. Yes!!!” Thank you to Agnes and EmpowerHome Team!
Working with Agnes Torres and the EmpowerHome Team was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our home went live on Wednesday, we had a showing by Thursday afternoon, and by Friday we received a full‑price offer. From our very first conversation with Agnes, we felt completely comfortable and confident in both her expertise and the strength of the EmpowerHome Team. The staging team gave us thoughtful, practical pointers, and the photographer did an amazing job capturing the beauty and upgrades of our home. Agnes guided every step with professionalism and care, and her strong negotiating skills ensured we achieved the best possible outcome. We couldn’t be happier with the process or the results. Highly recommend.
I've worked with many realtors before, but Jenn Camero was something else. She was always available, ready to suggest different approaches, and always came with the latest trends in the market. She was always one step ahead. She held open houses in peak season almost every week, and brought small gifts for visitors: fresh flowers, candies, candles, and cookies. Even when we were out of town, she checked on the property to make sure everything was in top shape. Other realtors we worked with before weren't even close. Highly recommended. She's an optimistic and energetic person, exactly what you need to lead you through the whole process of selling your property. Thank you again, Jenn, for everything.
Felix and his team did a wonderful job listing my home. From start to finish they were absolutely amazing. Frank helped us with staging and making the house look model like and the pictures posted online were just beautiful. I’ve bought and sold 4 hones in my life and Felix and the Empowered Tram were the most professional and efficient realtors I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with.
Anissa Dwiggins worked very hard for us & if we could break out ratings I would give her a much higher rating. Good thing is we sold our house in 12 days for full price. On the negative side they wanted us to list much lower than the current neighborhood was selling. They glossed over that the 5% commission was just for the listing agent not to be split with the buyer's agent, so we had to pay the buyer's agent commission (3%) also, plus they charged a $1000 transaction fee for selling our house and the one we bought. The effective commission rate was 8.5%. They did have an aggressive marketing plan with plenty of support. However, I also felt it was a little too by the book. I didn't get much from the staging consultation and the photography was okay not great. If you work with them, make them go over every fee they are going to collect. It was more expensive than working with a t

Services in this field explained
A valuation estimates the price a property can achieve on the market, based on location, condition, size, fittings and comparable sales.
What does a valuation cost? Many agents offer an initial estimate free of charge. A formal market value report by a certified surveyor is paid; the fee depends on the property and effort.
When you sell, an agent handles valuation, exposé, viewings, negotiation and the notary appointment.
Who pays the agent's commission? When flats and single-family houses are sold to consumers, the commission is generally split between seller and buyer (§ 656c German Civil Code).
When letting, an agent takes care of listing, viewings, tenant selection and the tenancy agreement.
Who pays the agent when letting? Since 2015 the “orderer pays” principle applies to residential lettings: usually the landlord pays when they hired the agent.
