Editorial context
Working with a provider in South Perth – what matters
When appointing a property professional to help buy in South Perth, first establish which party they represent. A buyer’s agent acts for the purchaser; Resolve Property Solutions describes this as the focus of its business. Prospective clients should therefore define their search criteria, budget and required level of assistance before engaging the service.
For a comprehensive buying service, clients should understand how areas are researched, properties shortlisted and price recommendations supported. Since Resolve considers both publicly listed and off-market properties, it is worth asking about the selection criteria for each category. An off-market sale does not, by itself, establish that a property is suitable or fairly priced.
Owner-occupiers and investors should make their differing priorities explicit, such as housing needs, ongoing costs or the intended holding period. For development projects, clarify what the advertised feasibility assessment and due diligence cover and which external specialists would be involved. Buyer representation does not automatically replace technical inspections or other specialist advice.
Before engagement, discuss fees, potential additional costs, communication arrangements and responsibilities through settlement. For auction support, the scope of representation and budget limits are particularly important. Positive reviews can offer insights into the working relationship, but they do not establish a guaranteed negotiation outcome or a contractual commitment to assistance after settlement.

Roman was fantastic to work with. He really understands investment property strategies and gave me helpful advice. He also worked hard to negotiate a better price and saved me money. What I appreciated the most was his support after settlement. We found an underground water leak after the property settled, and Roman went above and beyond to help get it fixed for me at no cost. That kind of service is hard to find. I’m really grateful for all his help and professionalism throughout the whole process.
My wife and I had a great experience working with Peter Gavalas and his team when buying our home. They were easy to talk to, super patient, and really knew their stuff. What we appreciated most was how they actually listened to what we wanted and never pushed us into anything that didn’t feel right. Throughout the whole process, Peter and his team kept us updated, explained things clearly, and made everything feel a lot less stressful than expected. They pointed out details I wouldn’t have noticed on our own and always made time for our questions. Thanks to their guidance, we ended up with a place we genuinely love. We’d happily recommend Resolve Property Solutions to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable, and down‑to‑earth home‑buyer agent.
Having worked with Roman Daszkiewcz to purchase our first property, returning to him for our second was an easy decision, and he delivered again ! From the outset, Roman brought the same honesty and professionalism that won us over the first time. He helped us shortlist properties, attended inspections, and gave clear, realistic feedback without ever pressuring us into a decision. That straightforward approach is rare, and it's exactly why we came back. Once again, he secured us a solid property at a great price, and his deep knowledge of the Perth market was evident throughout. Whether it's your first purchase or your fifth, Roman is someone you can genuinely trust to have your best interests at heart. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, in fact, we already have by returning ourselves!
I highly recommend Marina Bourne as a buyers agent. As an interstate client looking for a home in the highly competitive beachside suburbs in Perth, Marina took time to understand my vision and truly the results speak for themselves - I have my dream home. Marina worked closely with my broker as well as the seller and was able to align settlement with my sale in Sydney, she attended the home inspections and was able to arrange a thorough pre-purchase inspection, her purchasing strategy and negotiation skills were exceptional, and throughout the entire process she was a phone call away and genuinely took the stress out of buying a home. I cannot recommend Marina highly enough. It's clear she has strong relationships with the local real estate agents and knows the market inside and out. Balancing the investment aspects with the emotional aspects of buying a home is a rare mix Marina does
I had great experience working with Roman. He was very hands-on throughout the entire process, practical in his approach, and clearly very experienced in the property market. His understanding of the market and local areas gave me a lot of confidence when assessing properties and making decisions. He was proactive, straightforward, and always willing to provide honest advice and guidance. His negotiation skills were also excellent and played a big part in helping me secure the property at a very good price. I highly recommend Roman to anyone looking for an experienced, reliable, and very capable buyer’s agent.

Services in this field explained
A valuation estimates the price a property can achieve on the market, based on location, condition, size, fittings and comparable sales.
What does a valuation cost? Many agents offer an initial estimate free of charge. A formal market value report by a certified surveyor is paid; the fee depends on the property and effort.
When you sell, an agent handles valuation, exposé, viewings, negotiation and the notary appointment.
Who pays the agent's commission? When flats and single-family houses are sold to consumers, the commission is generally split between seller and buyer (§ 656c German Civil Code).
When letting, an agent takes care of listing, viewings, tenant selection and the tenancy agreement.
Who pays the agent when letting? Since 2015 the “orderer pays” principle applies to residential lettings: usually the landlord pays when they hired the agent.
