Editorial context
Working with a provider in Dublin – what matters
When appointing an estate agent in Dublin 8, owners should first establish whether they need a sale, a letting service or ongoing property management. Brock Delappe lists all three activities and describes separate sales and lettings offices. It is therefore useful to ask who will be the main contact and how responsibilities will pass between team members.
For a sale, prospective clients should ask which comparable properties support the proposed pricing and how marketing will be tailored to the particular location. Published listings in Inchicore and Kilmainham provide a starting point for questions about experience with similar houses or apartments. Some reviews describe sale prices above the owners’ expectations, but these accounts do not predict the outcome for another property. Owners should also establish how viewings will be arranged, offers recorded and progress updates communicated.
For lettings and management, the scope of the package deserves close attention. As the website mentions tenancy changeovers, maintenance issues and landlord accounting, clients should clarify which tasks are included, who authorises additional work and which costs are charged separately. Reporting intervals and responsibility for handling queries should also be agreed.
Before making a decision, clients should obtain written details of fees, contract duration and service scope. The overall Google rating can provide supplementary information, but the supplied reviews represent only a selection. These points offer general guidance rather than individual legal advice.

Have used Brock Delappe to sell two seperate properties for me in Dublin 8 in the last few years. They are excellent estate agents and are very professional and responsive. They know the Dublin 8 market and surrounding areas exceptionally well and their strategy on pricing is always spot on. I achieved a much higher sale price on both of my properties than I was expecting.
We recently bought our house through Brock Delappe. We dealt with Sean, who was easily contactable and really sound. He was prompt with any requests or questions we had. Megan and Max were also really nice to deal with. Overall we had a really positive experience with them and would recommend to others.
We would not hesitate to recommend Brock Delappe. We were more than satisfied with the service we received when selling our house. Sean and Chelsey from the Kilmainham office were always on hand for advice and quick to respond to any queries we had.
I recently sold my apartment in Dublin 8 with Brock Delappe. I found them to be efficient, courteous and professional. Seán, my estate agent, was knowledgeable, helpful and very easy to deal with. The sale's process was handled very well by both agents and office staff. And if needed, back up staff, such as cleaners and painters, were excellent.
They are a very polished estate agents, who have agents for each step of the sale. Sean McKeogh gave great advice and was always at the end of the phone. Chelsey Blenhein was very helpful as the offers came in and they have an app that's notifies you of offers 24/7. Recommend them highly.
